Privacy Policy
The Hebridean Explorer Privacy Policy.
When you contact me through the Tour Enquiry Form, email or WhatsApp, I collect the details you provide — typically your name, contact details, and information about your trip such as preferred dates, group size and any special requests.
I use your details to respond to your enquiry, plan and deliver your tour, and to keep in touch about future trips if you're a returning guest. I never sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
I keep enquiry and booking details for as long as needed to deliver your tour and to maintain a record for accounting and tax purposes. For repeat guests, I may keep basic contact and trip history for longer, purely to help plan future visits.
This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, Microsoft Clarity to see how pages are used (such as clicks and scrolling), and Microsoft/Bing advertising tracking to measure the performance of any ads. None of these load until you accept cookies via the banner shown when you first visit. You can decline these at any time, and doing so won't affect your ability to browse the site or make an enquiry.
No. Deposit and balance payments are handled entirely through a secure, external payment provider. I never see or store your card details — they're processed directly by the payment system, not by me.
I maintain a Facebook page and a TripAdvisor listing, and I'm listed on VisitScotland — if you interact with me through those platforms, their own privacy policies apply to that interaction.
Yes. At any time you can ask what information I hold about you or ask me to delete it.
You can reach me directly at info@thehebrideanexplorer.com with any questions about how your information is used.
This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to the website or the services I offer. The most current version will always be available on this page.
