Our Half Day Highland Whisky tour departs from Inverness where our journey to Glenmorangie Whisky Distillery takes us along the beautiful North Highland coastline of Ross-shire over the firths (Scots word for estuary/bay) of Moray and Cromarty on our way to Tain.

Glenmorangie Highland Whisky Distillery Struie Viewpoint, Scottish Highlands Glen Ord Highland Whisky Distillery

Leaving Glenmorangie, we take a beautiful drive over the Struie for a wonderful view of the surrounding Highland and coastal countryside before arriving at The Storehouse of Fowlis for a short refreshment/late lunch break. Before our return to Inverness we take a detour to Muir of Ord to Glen Ord Whisky Distillery for an exhibition visit and a whisky tasting. Please note that we do not take a full tour (due to limited time) just a short exhibition viewing and dram.

While we generally start this tour at 9am but it can depart from Inverness as late as 12.30pm (April to September) and 11am (all other months).

Both Glenmorangie and Glen Ord have the option to purchase additional drams should you wish to try a few more!

Tours are exclusively for your private group only (up to 3 persons) and prices are per tour. We only offer private tours and do not combine individuals or separate groups - if your group size is less than 3 the advertised tour price still applies. Prices include all taxes and a driver/guide (John Alasdair Macdonald) but exclude distillery tours and tasting fees (listed above) and meals.

Tour Notes
Distilleries have a silent season when there is no whisky production for a number of weeks (generally during the summer months). Distillery tours still operate but without production in the background. Advance payment is required for most distillery tour fees. Please note that this tour is not suitable for children (under 18s).
