The tour to Oban begins at Inverness where we follow the banks of Loch Ness down past Urquhart Castle on our way to Fort Augustus where we take take time to admire the Caledonian Canal and explore the village. Leaving Fort Augustus we travel to Spean Bridge where its Commando Memorial has one of the most magnificent views of the peaks of Ben Nevis and Aonach Mor.

The option to finish the tour in Oban rather than return to Inverness is available. As such the tour would finish earlier, when we arrive in Oban around 4pm where you would explore on your own.

At Fort William we stop for coffee and take time to explore the town before we depart
for “the road to the Isles”. On the way we explore the Jacobite story and “Bonnie
Prince Charlie” with a visit to the Glenfinnan Jacobite monument situated at the
mouth of Glen Shiel -
We generally have up around 1 ½ hours in Oban to explore this scenic town. The town
is also home to the Oban Malt Whisky Distillery, so whisky fans may wish to take
