Tour Information

Day 1 Begins at Inverness where we follow the banks of Loch Ness down past Urquhart Castle. After a stop for photos near Loch Ness, we head along through Glen Moriston on the way to Glen Shiel and the five sisters of Kintail mountain range. The magnificent Loch Duich awaits us at the foot of the mountain range. After time to enjoy both Eilean Donan Castle and its facilities, we head out over the bridge to Skye, where the spectacular Cuillin mountain range greets us.

We then make our way down the Sleat peninsula towards the Clan Donald Centre where we stop for lunch and have time to explore the Centre - home of the Museum of the Isles, where you can discover the history of the MacDonalds - Clan Donald - one of Scotland’s most famous clans. Departing Sleat we journey to Portree for our evening and overnight stop.

Day 2 begins with a short drive to the Trotternish ridge, home of the Old man of Storr and the Quiraing. With stops near them both of them along with a visit to Kilt Rock for an amazing view out to sea and beyond you will experience some of the best scenery Skye has to offer. We then make our way to Dunvegan Castle - home of the MacLeods of Dunvegan for a great look back at the history of one of Skye’s most powerful clans.

Before leaving Skye we visit the magical scenery of Faerie Glen along with a stop at the scenic coastal village of Broadford. Our return journey back to Inverness takes us through Glen Carron where we stop for a beautiful view of Loch Carron before we pass through the lonely glen surrounding Achnasheen.

This 2 Day Tour has a flexible itinerary so if you wish to visit other sights and attractions in Skye just let us know and we can try and arrange a visit there - maybe you would like to visit Talisker Whisky Distillery for a dram or Neist Point to catch a glimpse of the sea life or maybe walk along Skye’s wonderful Coral Beach.
